Siding

Siding Installation in Northwest Indiana

Fiber cement and premium cladding that stands up to lake wind and freeze-thaw winters, and gives the home the presence it deserves.

Built for Weather Off the Lake

Homes near Lake Michigan see more wind, more moisture, and more freeze-thaw cycles than most. Siding here has to resist rot, cracking, and fading, and has to be installed so water never gets behind it.

Materials

  • Fiber cement (such as James Hardie). Resists rot, pests, and fire, with factory-baked color options. Our first recommendation for most fine homes.
  • Engineered wood (such as LP SmartSide). Warm wood character with improved durability.
  • Premium specialty cladding. Shingle, board-and-batten, and panel profiles for distinctive architecture.

Designed as One Exterior

Siding, trim, soffit, gutters, and roof should look intentional together. We help you coordinate profiles and colors so the finished home reads as one design, not a patchwork.

Details That Matter

  • Weather-resistant barrier behind every wall
  • Flashing at windows, doors, and roof-to-wall transitions
  • Correct fastening and clearances per manufacturer instructions
  • Clean trim lines at corners, windows, and soffits

Why Upgrade

  • Protection. A tighter, drier wall assembly.
  • Less upkeep. Far fewer repaint cycles than wood.
  • Curb appeal. The single biggest change to how a home presents.
  • Value. A finished exterior that stands out when the home is sold.

Our Process

  • 1. Measure and assess. We walk the exterior and check for moisture or damage behind the old siding.
  • 2. Select. Material, profile, and color, with samples at the home.
  • 3. Install. Removal, barrier, flashing, and new siding, overseen throughout.
  • 4. Clean up and walk through. Grounds restored and a final review together.

Storm Damage

Hail and wind can crack or loosen siding in ways that are hard to see from the ground. We document the damage and can coordinate with your insurance adjuster.

Questions

Is fiber cement worth it over vinyl?

For a fine home in this climate, usually yes. Fiber cement holds its shape in the cold, resists fading, and looks like painted wood. Vinyl costs less up front but doesn’t suit every home.

Can siding and roofing be done together?

Yes, and it’s often the best approach. One contractor coordinates both, with matched colors and flashing details handled correctly where roof meets wall.

How long does installation take?

It depends on the size of the home and the material. Your proposal includes the schedule.

Can siding go on in winter?

Fiber cement can be installed in cold weather with the right practices. We’ll advise on timing for your project.

Do you install prefinished color?

Yes. Factory-finished options are available, or the siding can be field-painted to a custom color.
